Who Am I
“Respect the whenua. Empower the tangata. Embrace your whakapapa.”
Danyelle Wirihana founded Wirihana Supplies in late 2018 with a clear vision: beautifully made, high-quality leather accessories that embody sustainability, ethical practices, and the essence of te ao Māori, made accessible to more people.
A passionate designer and champion of slow fashion, Danyelle creates gender-inclusive leather essentials designed to last generations, not seasons. Her range of totes, bags, satchels, backpacks, purses, and wallets reflects a deep commitment to ethical craftsmanship, premium materials, and timeless style.
At the heart of Wirihana Supplies is a kaupapa rooted in respect for the land (whenua), empowerment of people (tangata), and honouring heritage (whakapapa). Every piece is handcrafted in small batches using ethically sourced leather, with verified fair labour conditions from studio to Aotearoa.
Danyelle’s work is more than fashion – it is a legacy of conscious design, cultural pride, and accessible luxury for all.
