Maro is a traditional Māori garment worn by both men and women. It is worn as a frontal garment tied around the waist. Maro is a taonga that can be passed down through generation to generation and can be worn or hung as a wall art display.
All of our weaving pieces aim to perpetuate, promote and preserve Māori culture, through traditional and contemporary Māori art.
