Inspired by the tuatua, a shellfish gathered along Aotearoa’s sandy shores, this piece reflects the gentle, repetitive rhythms of the tide and the enduring connection between people and place. Its flattened form offers a calm, understated presence, echoing the way these shells settle naturally within the sand.

Carved from dark green chatoyant tangiwai, the stone reveals subtle movement and depth as it catches the light — a quiet shimmer that brings the piece to life. The smooth, low profile enhances its wearability, allowing the material and form to speak without excess.
