As we welcome the cultural celebration of Matariki (new Year), this hand woven harakeke (flax) earring is in honour of the thread that intertwines Ranginui (sky father) & Papatūānuku (earth mother). Fashioned in the form of a kite, symbolising the bond between heaven and earth. A reflection of remembrance, renewal and the relationship that weave us to Te Taiao (the environment).
Intention: These adorable mini kite earrings remind us of our own connection to the stars, the whenua (land) and to one another as we remember the year gone & embark on the new year ahead.
