Introducing 'THE MANY ME', a limited release umbrella by acclaimed urban artist Shawnee Tekii. Not just an umbrella, but also wearable piece of original artwork, born from Shawnee's transformative residency in Tokyo in 2024.
Shawnee Tekii is an urban artist working across painting and illustration. After leaving school to pursue her passion for art, she completed a Bachelor of Fine Arts at Whitecliffe and was awarded the prestigious Prime Minister's Scholarship, which led to her residency in Tokyo. Her work reimagines urban life through bold, layered compositions, blending street culture, landmarks, and everyday moments using mixed media.
'The Many Me' the original artwork that inspired this umbrella captures the energy and complexity of life, reflecting the many selves we carry through our daily journeys. Now, that vibrant narrative is brought to life on a functional, everyday object that transforms a rainy day into a statement of colour and creativity.
This is the first release and is intentionally limited.
