Each pōtae (hat) is hand woven by Ani Mcguire. Each piece is original and one-of-a-kind and will increase in value over time and is a keepsake to hand down to your future generations. 

All harakeke (flax) for each piece of raranga is cultivated and harvested on Ani's family whenua along the banks of the old Ngaruroro Awa in Heretaunga. Ani's raranga style reflects her mastery of the artform and deep connection to the whenua. This is reflected in the beautifully uniform and tight weave found in her pieces.  Harakeke is boiled and cleaned during the preparation process.
